Our Story

 

Candelize was founded in 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden. The idea of offering a more sustainable alternative to ordinary scented candles originally came from Charlotte's husband, Tony. After counting 28 empty candle vessels in their home, he suggested refilling and reusing them instead of constantly buying new ones. In the search for a refill solution, they invented one.

We devoted the first nine months to learning exactly what goes into creating the ultimate scented candle, how the various components must be combined for a perfect burn, and what the most important characteristics of a perfect scented candle are.

By the time we were ready to launch, we had developed the world's first refill collection for scented candles. Fragranced wax, delivered in an elegant pouch.

Now people can reuse what they already own and love, while enjoying a more tailor-made scented candle. One where you are free to pair a fragrance you like with a vessel you love.
